A day retreat for navigating hormone changes and stepping into power
An uplifting day retreat for women in midlife who are navigating hormone changes. Expertly delivered by two midlife specialists, this day will inform, empower and deeply nourish your beautiful body and soul!
With specialist movement and mindfulness for hormone-balancing, a stimulating and beautiful 3-mile walk, a talk on hormone health with Q&A and deep nervous system regulation through rest and sound vibration, this is a super special day that will enrich and soothe, while strengthening us wonderful women to step fully into this midlife chapter.
Elements of the day:
Specialist Yoga for Midlife – a combination of yoga movement, strength-building, brain stimulation, pelvic floor activation and deep, restorative release of muscles led by Nell qualified in Yoga for all Stages of Menopause
Three-Mile Mindful Walk – Walking is a fantastic way to boost mood, reduce stress & anxiety and improve heart, bone and muscle health. But research now also shows that walking can reduce menopausal symptoms. So what better than a mindful hour's walk through the stunning countryside that surrounds our lovely venue? We will do the first part as a guided meditation and the second as a time to chat, connect and make friends!
Shared lunch – Please bring a simple dish to share at lunch time. This is a lovely way of keeping the cost of the day down and also a great way to connect and break bread together.
Hormone Health workshop – a talk followed by Q&A with Donna Loose, a women’s health specialist nurse who will be covering the peri/menopause journey and how to prepare for this stage of your life with lifestyle changes, HRT and/or alternative options. With many years working as a clinician in women's health, Donna's presentations are highly informative while also wonderfully entertaining.
Restorative yoga & sound bath – Finish the day with deep nervous system regulation as we move out of the thinking mind for a while and let ourselves melt into a quieter state of being with gentle restorative relaxation, poetry and the immersive release and journey of sound

What to bring/wear
• Yoga gear and yoga mat (if you have one) for first part of day
• A pair of dumbbells and a resistance band*
• Warmer clothes and shoes for walking
• Some paper and pen if you think you might want to jot down tips & info in the workshops
• A pillow and blanket for the sound bath (and a yoga bolster if you have one)
• A bottle of water
*Please note: these are for one part of the yoga section - you can still do the session without them
